Dark Thoughts "S/T" LP
Debut LP from The greatest band from the greatest city (Philadelphia) on Earth. I was living with Amy from DT while they were writing this record and it pumped me up every time i heard the music coming through the floor of our house. It was a perfect fit for the record to have been written, recorded, and released all within the walls of The Bathhouse in West Philly. This band gets the dreaded "ramones-core" label thrown their way often. it's unfortunate because most "ramones-core" bands make some of the most atrocious music my ears have ever heard (you're probably thinking of bands in that subgenre right now, and yes I'm 1000% talking about them). Sure they love the Ramones (look at their album covers), but the influences come from farther and wider than Queens NY. There's so much Berkley and Chicago blended in the sound. It's a hardcore punk band making "pop-punk". It's blazing fast pop punk with a bite and anger behind it.
